GUILFORD, Conn., Sept. 21, 2016 -- Sightlines, a Gordian company, and a leader in facilities intelligence and analysis for higher education institutions, today announced the appointment of two seasoned professionals to newly created executive positions within the company.
Mike Sabol has been named vice president of sales at Sightlines, where he will oversee the company’s sales strategy and manage the day-to-day activities of its national team of professional sales representatives. Peter Zuraw has been appointed vice president of market strategy and development, where he will be responsible for heading up Sightlines’ thought leadership efforts in the higher education industry and leading the company’s programming activities at various professional conferences and events.
“Our company continues to experience steady growth as a trusted provider of independent data and perspective to colleges about how to best manage their campus facilities, and these two senior-level appointments will make us much stronger as an organization to execute on future growth strategies,” said Mark Schiff, president of Sightlines.
Prior to joining Sightlines, Sabol was general manager of the AEC (Architect, Engineers and Construction) product line at The Gordian Group. Previously, he spent eight years at Newforma, a software and services company focused on the AEC market, where he built a large national sales force and helped to significantly increase customer retention. He also founded a company that provided technology services to construction job sites and was director of sales for an online software procurement marketplace. Sabol attended Georgetown University and resides in Pittsburgh, Penn.
Zuraw comes to Sightlines after serving for the past 11 years as assistant vice president of facilities management at Wellesley College, where he was a Sightlines member and supporter of the company’s services within the higher education community. In this role, he led a 150-person organization and was responsible for the management of a 400-acre campus that is home to one of America’s leading private liberal arts colleges. Previously, he was director of facilities and operations at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Penn., director of facilities services at Protestant Episcopal Cathedral Foundation in Washington, D.C. and assistant director of facilities at Vermont College of Norwich University in Montpelier, Vt. Zuraw graduated from Lehigh University and resides in Natick, Mass.
“Mike and Pete are veterans of the construction and higher education industries, respectively, and are proven organizational leaders,” said Schiff. “They bring tremendous experience and insight to our company’s management team.”
Sabol and Zuraw each fill new positions in the company and will report directly to Schiff.
